We did a thing with the Louis MacNeice Society!!!
Louis MacNeice Society is a non-profit organization that was founded in July 2023 which brings authors, scholars, writers and fans of MacNeice together. Our goal is to develop a community that values reading, creativity, and critical thinking. We think that literature has the power to take us to new places, alter our viewpoints, and motivate us to better understand ourselves and the world around us. As a society, we plan frequent gatherings, seminars, and activities that allow our members the chance to read publications, showcasing their own writing, and get criticism from their peers. To equip our members with insights and experiences from the literary world. We often extend invitations to guest lecturers.
From my experience with the Louis MacNeice Society, Andie champions the people she collaborates with allowing them the space and time to create, then giving constructive feedback and ideas that raises the standard of which that individual can achieve.
Personally, I feel that I’ve grown as a creative, this opportunity has broadened my scope in the sense that I no longer believe that I have to stick to a particular genre of music, that I can experiment and feel comfortable in doing so.

The theme is one of hope. ‘Prayer before Birth’ for me has conflicting themes, the predominant however, being one of hope. Hope of a life without too many complications, almost knowing there might be tumultuous times ahead, but still hanging onto the aspiration of being a good human and leading a righteous life.
The musical accompaniment is slow in pace, not so much melancholy, but inspiration. A classical piece with sweeping strings and horns performing contra melodies with Timpani to express poignant moments, led by the Cello which will be the main instrument which all others follow.
